Last year, Uber committed to making meaningful improvements to the driver experience through our 180 Days of Change initiative. We focused on key areas that driver-partners felt needed the most change: earnings, support, flexibility, uberPOOL, pickups, and ratings.
We’re continuing these efforts by engaging with our own driver communities throughout the region. At the beginning of 2018, members of our NW team traveled across Montana to gather feedback and insights from our driver-partners in Missoula, Bozeman, and Billings through info sessions and roundtables.
Below are the top focus areas where we were able to make an impact across the state:
- Uber Eats: Local restaurant partners are being reviewed and their information in the app, such as hours of operation and menus, is being updated.
- Airport: We are setting up an email campaign to provide new driver-partners rules and guidelines for operating at the airport. This information will also be available in the Uber app.
- Rider education: Riders are now reminded to rate every trip and given the option to leave a tip before their next trip.
Not only did we look at statewide issues, we also wanted to focus on city-specific problems. After listening to our driver-partners in each city, here are some of the positive changes we’ve made:
Missoula
Based on feedback about the pickup and dropoff zone at KettleHouse Amphitheatre, we’ve moved the zone to Bonner School District 14 to accommodate parking issues.
Bozeman
After working with our Airport team at Uber, we’ve resolved the GPS issue at the Bozeman Airport suggesting that Uber driver-partners take a left turn out of the airport in a right-turn-only area.
Billings
We’re currently working with MetraPark to resolve congestion issues after concerts let out. If you have any suggestions or feedback, please let us know here.
We could not have made these improvements without our community of driver-partners and hope these changes make a lasting impact in Montana. If you weren’t able to attend any of the sessions, be on the lookout for future events!
