Meet the #UberPITCHME Finalists 2017

On Saturday, September 30th we launched UberPITCHME in partnership with ArabNet for the third year in a row. Startup warriors, entrepreneurs and dreamers in Dubai, Riyadh, Jeddah, Beirut and Amman were invited to submit an application to pitch their big idea to regional startup heroes and investors.

During two weeks of open applications, hundreds of applicants were invited to participate in #UberPitchME. The majority of applicants came from Dubai, a testament to the growing entrepreneurship scene in the city.

The judges heard pitches from a variety of startups, with finalists in each city being sponsored at the ArabNet Digital Showcase in Dubai, where they will have the opportunity to pitch for 3 minutes on stage, speak with over 70 industry leaders in a closed networking event, and a booth for their startup. After hearing four hours of pitches, judges in each city selected their nomination for their city’s finalist.

Qlikcash – Dubai

Qlikcash is the MENA region’s first Neobank aiming to serve the more than 15 million unbanked adults in the GCC. Qlikcash users receive an open loop reloadable prepaid card allowing them to pay by card in-store and online for the first time. Through the native mobile app, users can view and manage all transactions, pay bills, send and request funds, and top-up any mobile phone anywhere in the world.

Sawatruck – Jeddah

Sawatruck is an online logistics solution marketplace that connects trucks and loads in real time and monitors shipments using an advanced and unique company module. The app is available on both Android and iOS.

Sidelick – Lebanon

Sidelick is an online platform connecting pet lovers locally within their community. Because of the different responsibilities that come with getting a pet, Sidelick provides assistance in finding other pet owners around them ready to provide pet services. As such, Sidelick provides an easy way to find and book loving and trustworthy neighborhood pet care (dog walking, pet boarding, pet daycare, and grooming).

Smart Lunch Box – Jordan

Smart Lunch Box is an app where parents can order customized lunch boxes for their preschool aged children and have it delivered.

Go Express – Riyadh

Go Express Technologies is an on demand logistic network company headquartered in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It develops markets and operates the Go website and mobile application, which allows consumers to easily submit a delivery request which then is dispatched to Go drivers. Go drivers can be companies, establishments, or freelancers. The Go fleet includes dry and frozen logistic couriers such as stake bed and city truck.
