Whether you are taking your first trip or your 10,000th pickup, it can always be helpful to get a refresher on ways to make the most out of your time on the road. We compiled some of the most frequently asked questions from Los Angeles driver-partners to help you have a smoother experience and avoid fines.

Where does the Uber trade dress go?
The California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) requires that all driver-partners display trade dress (the decal that identifies you as an Uber driver-partner) on both the front and rear windshields on the passenger side facing outward. Having Uber trade dress helps riders quickly identify your car so you can begin the trip smoothly. If you have an LAX placard, LAX requires that you place it beneath your Uber trade dress in the front windshield.

How do I contact support?
We know it can be stressful when you have questions about driving with Uber, but we are here to help. We have four main support resources:
- Phone support is available directly through the app 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Simply go to the Account tab, tap ‘HELP’, and tap the blue phone icon in the top right-hand corner to connect to a support agent
- In-app support allows you to report issues with trips, your account, and payments directly through your app
- help.uber.com can answer common support issues on your account, payments, using the Driver app, and more
- In-person support at the Greenlight Hub is available Monday – Friday from 9:30am – 5pm at 2400 Marine Ave, Suite 100, Redondo Beach, CA 90278

How can I protect my account?
An Uber employee will never ask you for sensitive information like passwords or banking account numbers. Scammers are clever, and some may call or text you pretending to be us to offer prizes in exchange for your account information. If you think you may have been contacted or tricked by a scammer, please contact support immediately.

How can I pick up or drop off at LAX?
Pickups and dropoffs work a little differently at LAX. In order to take any Uber trips at the airport, you must first pass the LAX Quiz. You can find the LAX Quiz in your Uber Driver app or you can take it at the Greenlight Hub. Once you pass, you can receive your LAX placard at the Greenlight Hub or by mail.

Each LAX placard is tied to one person and one vehicle, so if you share your car or drive multiple cars, you must get your own placard for each car. As of May 2018, all driver-partners who wish to drive at LAX must upload proof of their placards via the Uber Driver app.

To receive pickup requests at LAX, you must be in the Designated TNC Airport Assignment Area (see map). If you would like to park, you can wait in the Staging Lot off 6100 Westchester Pkwy. You will receive a request in the order you got in line. LAX only allows Uber pickups and dropoffs on the Upper Departures Level.
