We know the price of gas is top of mind for many delivery drivers across the country right now. To help mitigate the exceptional and rapid price increases that drivers have been seeing at the pump, we are significantly expanding the fuel discounts and offers available to Uber couriers through May 26, 2026.
We are also increasing incentives and promos for couriers to help ensure that their earnings keep pace with higher gas prices.
Expanded rebates and discounts on gas through Uber Eats Pro*
Every driver and courier can now get an additional 5% cash back—on top of existing rates—at any gas station in the country with an Uber Pro Card, no matter their Uber Pro or Uber Eats Pro tier.**
- Blue/Green now earns 7% cash back
- Gold earns 8%
- Platinum earns 9%
- Diamond earns 11%
Plus an additional 3% cash back at Exxon™ or Mobil™ gas pumps and another 1% cash back at Mastercard Easy Savings stations, meaning top drivers and couriers can now get up to an industry-leading 15% cash back at the pump—up from the previous 10% max rate.
Significantly expanded discounts on gas via Upside and Shell Fuel Rewards:***
- Shell® Fuel Rewards® program: Delivery drivers can get up to 21¢ off per gallon of gas with Shell (up from max 7¢ per gallon)
- Upside: Delivery drivers can now get up to $1.00 off per gallon off of gas with Upside (up from max 25¢ per gallon)
Offers from Upside and Shell Fuel Rewards can each be individually combined with the Uber Pro Card, netting even more savings.
Altogether, top-tier couriers can save up to $1.44 per gallon when they fill up their gas tank using these combined offers and discounts. These savings via the Uber Pro Card, Upside, and Shell Fuel Rewards will begin on Friday, March 27 and remain in place in the U.S. through May 26, 2026.
Increased promos and incentives for delivery drivers
We are additionally providing mileage-based relief for delivery drivers that will be paid out on a weekly basis starting on Monday, March 30th, based on a driver’s utilized mileage that week. This incentive is initially set to end on May 3, 2026.
- After 125 miles on active deliveries, delivery drivers will get $5 on top of your earnings and tips.
- After 200 miles on active deliveries, delivery drivers get $10 on top of your earnings and tips.
- After 250 miles on active deliveries, delivery drivers get $15 on top of your earnings and tips.
For the purposes of this reward, miles for active deliveries are calculated from the moment you accept the order through drop-off. This incentive is currently set to end on May 3, 2026.
We are also investing in promos and incentives across the board for drivers and couriers to help offset higher gas prices, as well as continuing to find ways to support drivers who want to transition to electric vehicles. Uber drivers already make up the largest electric vehicle fleet out of any ridehail platform in the world, with 286,000 monthly active ZEV drivers.
