“Keep an eye on the water bottles in the back seat of your car. Some riders open them and either partially or completely empty them and put them back in the bottle holder without saying anything to the driver. Check the bottles status continuously between trips.” – Bob (4.9)

News in the World of Uber
QLD Premier and Uber Head of Policy on the Radio.
Steve Austin 612 ABC spoke with Deputy Premier, Jackie Trad, and Brad Kitschke, the head of policy at Uber. Listen in to hear Brad Kitsche put out a clear request for the Premier to come to the table and discuss ways to bring about pragmatic, safety based ride sharing regulation.
Opinion: NSW Fines Are Futile.
In an opinion piece for the Sydney Morning Herald Daniel Mookhey, a Labor MP in the NSW upper house, argues that the government’s continued fining of Uber is “futile” and represents “the modern day equivalent of the government picking winners,” arguing that they should instead “harness the gathering steam of the sharing economy” in order to force the taxi industry to improve and “to hasten the pace of innovation.”
Uber Update Includes Features For Hearing-Impaired Drivers.
SlashGear reported that Uber announced an update that integrates new features to help deaf and hearing-impaired drivers, including “visual alerts rather than audible ones, and some changes on the rider’s end to let them know that calling the driver isn’t an option, as well as alternative ways to message the driver.”
