Changes to Hourly Guarantees
Winter is now behind us and the ramp up to the busiest time of the year is officially underway! As earnings continue to climb and there is less and less reliance on the lower guarantees, we’ve decided to make some changes. This change is effective as of midnight Tuesday 2 September.
We are so confident in the huge wave of Summer demand that we’ve bumped nine hours up to $35/hour (previously $30/hour).
Conditions:
- Complete one trip per hour during these guaranteed hours
- You must complete 15 supply hours over the week
- You are only eligible for these incentives in your sign up city

Former Pakistani offspinner Arshad Khan now a Uber driver in Australia
Sportskeeda reports fromer international cricker player, Arshad Khan, once famous for dismissing the great Sachin Tendulkar during an Indo-Pak match in 2006, now drives Uber in Sydney
Double demerit for mobile phone use starts in Queensland.
Nine News reports that police will now issue double demerit points for drivers busted using a mobile phone behind the wheel two or more times in a year.That means a $353 fine and six demerit points for those caught.
Hilton shares ‘sharing economy’ with Uber.
News.com.au reports that Hilton announced that guests will be able to set up automatic notifications to request Uber rides to and from the chain’s hotels worldwide. Members of the company’s HHonors program also will be able to use a digital guide of restaurants and nightlife spots most frequented by Uber riders.
