Opinion: Uber Illustrates Path To Successful Disruption.
In an article for Sydney Morning Herald, Dr. Ken Hudson, former marketing director at American Express, argues that “Uber is generally considered an illustrative case study in digital disruption,” explaining that the company’s success stems from more than “the digital component.” Hudson asserts that “disruption consists of 3 elements,” including “consumer frustration or insight,” a “leap of imagination,” and “a digital solution,” asserting that the company’s success illustrates that “disruption is less about a breakthrough digital solution but more a disruptive mindset.”
