Hi uberX!

What a week! We saw huge growth across the board last week. This was particularly so on the weekend with many drivers completing up to 2 trips an hour on Saturday night! All of this is due to a combination of last week’s price reduction, the promotions we have running and most importantly, the great service that each of you deliver to the riders. As a result, despite the price reduction, average hourly fares actually grew last week.

In other great news, many of you will have noticed that turn-by-turn navigation was fully launched in the driver app last week. This means that you can get directions to the pick-up every time! By the end of August, after a few tweaks to the rider app, we are expecting the majority of trips to have full navigation from request through to drop-off! Whilst this means you mostly won’t have to use a GPS, we recommend hanging on to it for those trips where the rider hasn’t entered their destination. Head here for more details.

This week’s incentives!

Weekly Guarantee

Same as last week, Uber will guarantee $25/hour (average gross earnings before commission). To qualify, you need to:

be online for 30 hours, including 20 hours from Thursday 4pm – Sunday Midnight
complete 0.8 trips/hr

Party Bonus

Complete 10 trips from 2pm through to 4am on either Friday or Saturday night and earn $40 on each night!
But, if you complete 15 trips from 2pm through to 4am on either Friday or Saturday night, you will earn $80!

$200/$200 referral bonus!

Know friends that meet all the requirements for UberX and want to drive? Well then you’re sitting on a goldmine! We’re still offering $200 for you and $200 for them! All you need to do is refer them through your app by clicking the big blue button. Please note this only applies to partners who register a car with Uber. The referral will be paid out once 10 trips have been completed. Some of you are having trouble seeing the referral button. Try hard closing the Uber app and it should work after that.
