Spring has arrived in Brisbane and with it is huge increases in trip requests. The number of trips completed by drivers on the Uber platform in Brisbane is set to double in the next few weeks. Below is a screenshot of trip requests in Brisbane over the last couple of weeks.
As we grow, many drivers ask how they can improve the money they make driving on the Uber platform. Here are a couple of tips from the best drivers in Brisbane:
1. Work the busy times:
– Consistently, Friday & Saturday nights are very busy. Expect Surge Pricing & multiple trips on each hour you drive
– 6AM – 10AM on Weekdays are increasingly busy. Each night from 4PM – late is also busy.
– You can also refer to your weekly driver summary for help on how to maximise what you make each hour.
2. Be in the right places:
– Refer to the map of requests above, but consistently these areas are busiest:
Inner-City: CBD, Fortitude Valley, Spring Hill, New Farm, Newstead / Tenerife
West & North of River: Toowong, St Lucia, Indooroopilly, Milton, Paddington, Red Hill, Lutwyche, Hamilton
East & South of River: Bulimba, East Brisbane, South Brisbane, South Bank, Kangaroo Point, West End, Dutton Park, Woolloongabba
3. Provide great service
– The best way to ensure you make great money on Uber is by staying on the Uber platform
– Uber monitors quality very closely. The average driver rating in Brisbane is 4.80. Drivers with ratings of 4.60 and below are at risk of being removed permanently.

– select the Uber driver application, slide to the top of the phone to remove the app
– re-start the app and the button will now appear
