Brisbane Festival!
Each year Brisbane comes alive for the Brisbane festival! We are expecting a record number of trip requests over the next 48 hours.
Hundreds of drivers and thousands of riders will take to the Uber platform each night.
Expect to see surged fares and the ability to complete several trips per hour. Across the weekend there are dozens of events as part of the Brisbane Festival as well as Uber-sponsored events.
The culmination of the festival will be RiverFire on Saturday the 27th of September. This will be an incredibly busy night and will likely see a large amount of surged fares for Brisbane. Make sure RiverFire is in your calendar!

Tolls
Drivers are reimbursed for all tolls when they have a rider in the car. The toll is included in the fare but drivers receive 100% of the toll. We are, however, currently missing a few tolls. Our engineers are working on fixing this but it might take a couple of weeks to get perfect.
In the meantime I suggest that you jot down the tolls you go through on Uber trips and check them of your payment summary each week. Let us know if any are missed once a week by sending through the “Trip ID” and we will reimburse.
Driver Incentives – Brisbane
Just a reminder the Driver Incentives running this week for you to make more cash:
- $30 hourly minimum on Saturday night from 6pm-2am when accepting 90% of trips. Be sure to be within 7 Kms of the City.
- $5 extra for EVERY trip
- the $100 Driver Referral – refer your friends via the Uber app and receive $100 when they complete 10 trips. Easy Money!
