Here comes a massive weekend of outdoor festivities! The Teneriffe Festival and Story Bridge 75 year anniversary celebrations will have Brisbane pumping meaning plenty of riders requesting trips!

Access across the Story Bridge will be shut for most of Sunday. Use of the Clem 7 during this times is free – please remind riders of this. Access to parts of Fortitude Valley will also be shut off during these times.

Task Force to Look at Uber and Taxi Industry in NSW

The Sydney Morning Herald reports that the NSW government has launched a new task force to look at regulating the ride-sharing company Uber as part of a wider examination of the challenges facing the taxi industry. The move has been welcomed by the general manager of Uber Australia, who pledged active involvement in the inquiry.

ABC News reports that changes to the regulation of Western Australia’s taxi industry could be implemented by the end of the year, Premier Colin Barnett says.
