From 20 November to 20 December, Drink Safe, Ride Safe partner venues are ensuring their guests drink responsibly and get home safely by offering free Uber rides (up to $25 off. New Users Only).

Drink Safe, Ride Safe is all about encouraging responsible alcohol consumption at local venues with safe travel home. As the year winds down, end of year celebrations are ramping up, and with that, increased instances of drunk driving incidents and alcohol related violence on Gold Coast streets.

Here are just some of the ways Uber makes your trip out safe and seamless:

• Uber is safe, reliable and up to 40% cheaper than a taxi – save money on getting to or from the party knowing you can enjoy your evening even more and get home safely.
• The Uber app connects riders to drivers with the touch of a button.
• Riders can track their drivers as they travel to pick you up.
• You’re notified when your vehicle arrives. This means no lining up, flagging down or congestion outside venues – common places for alcohol induced violence.
• Payment is cashless – simply jump in and let your driver take you where you want to go. Your receipt is sent to your inbox once the ride is complete.
• Split your fare! Sharing an Uber with your friends? Use the ‘Split Fare’ feature in the app to make sure everybody is paying their share.
