Batched orders – how do they work for restaurants?

One of the newest features of the UberEATS platform is the ability to ‘batch’ orders.

Batched orders allow one delivery partner to deliver two orders from your restaurant at the same time!

For example, let’s say that you have two orders ready for pickup that are being delivered to the same area. Instead of these orders being collected by two separate delivery partners, both deliveries will go with one partner.

This means less hassle when the food is being picked up. You’re dealing with one delivery partner and getting two orders out the door. It also means smoother, more efficient deliveries, happier eaters and more repeat orders for you!

Your delivery partner will have the details of both orders. They can show you in their app. You’ll also be able to see the batched orders on your iPad; it should show a line connecting the two orders, like the image below.

Keep an eye out for the UberEATS delivery partners that are ready to to collect two different orders. These partners are helping make things smoother, faster and more efficient. You may want to pass this info along to your team, to help ensure a smooth pickup experience.
