Uber Black Requirements
Changes to the eligibility criteria for driver partners in the Black categorie from June 2024
Vehicle criteria
To be Uber Black eligible, vehicles must be on the list of vehicles allowed in the product, must have air conditioning, 4 doors and at least 5 seats.
Rating Criteria
All Uber Black drivers must maintain a 4.8 rating or above.
Driver ratings are based on their most recent 500 rated trips.

- What are the criteria for new driver-partners to receive travel requests from Uber Black?
New partner drivers must have, in addition to the vehicle included in the list a minimum average rating of 4.80
- What happens if my average user rating drops below the minimum required to be eligible for Uber Black?
You will receive a notice and will have the next 80 rides evaluated by users to, if you wish, bring your rating back to the minimum required for Uber Black. If you recover your rating, you will remain eligible to receive requests. If you do not recover your rating, you will not receive further requests for Uber Black until you reach the minimum required for the rating of Uber Black.
- What do I need to do to receive Uber Black ride requests?
Anything. Partner drivers who meet the requirements of accepted vehicles, and minimum rating average will automatically receive Uber Black travel requests.
