今日，优步（Uber）很高兴宣布将于中国成都推出司机端全新功能——“优步同行”（即 uberCOMMUTE），使更多车主在日常上下班途中可以捎带顺路乘客一同出行。这是Uber首次在美国以外地区发布全新功能，也是迄今为止最深化的本土化创新以及定制开发之一。

打造“优步同行”的灵感源于中国，放眼未来。前不久，优步联手国内权威第三方调查机构，针对中国六个城市的优步车主进行抽样调查；结果显示，85%的车主都有一份稳定的全职工作，超过七成的车主拥有大专以上学历，三分之二的车主已婚且育有子女。这表明优步车主具有较高的社会稳定性以及一定的经济基础，并重视工作与家庭。

因此，对优步而言，为这些车主提供更灵活、更方便的时间选择，帮助他们在日常上下班途中有机会实现同行拼车，成为了一个重要的突破创新点。优步系统将通过算法在第一时间进行智能匹配，推荐最合适的一位顺路乘客；双方将按行驶距离分摊油费，从而实现公益绿色出行。

由于“优步同行”是专为车主定制的全新功能，优步乘客端仍然会保持原本极简的页面设计，以及完美顺畅的用户体验。我们希望通过“优步同行”，进一步缩短乘客的等车时间，使乘客得到更便捷、更轻松的出行体验。

优步中国战略负责人柳甄表示，“此次选择中国作为“优步同行”的全球首发地，既体现了Uber对于中国市场的极大重视，致力于以本地创新的方式贴近满足中国车主和用户的需求，同时也展现了优步本土化的突破性和新高度，具有里程碑意义”。

她强调，优步始终致力于在城市中提供更可靠、便捷、经济、环保的出行选择，减少人们对私家车的依赖，使出行“如流水一般顺畅，无处不在，连接你我”，这是Uber在全球所追求的使命。

此后，“优步同行”将计划于中国以及全球更多城市上线，以更少的车服务更多的人，帮助缓解城市交通拥堵，减少尾气排放，共建更绿色、更环保的优质生活。

Today, we’re excited to announce an entirely new product for drivers — uberCOMMUTE — which will launch with a beta pilot in Chengdu, China, our most popular city in the world.  It is specially designed for drivers who commute longer distances and want to share the cost of the trip.

Drivers sign into the app and tell Uber where they are going. We then show them requests from riders who are traveling in the same direction as well as the payment they will receive for the trip. The driver can then decide whether to accept the request or not. For riders, it’s Uber as usual. They simply select People’s Uber+ (our Chinese uberPOOL service), input their destination and then our systems match them with a driver going the same way.

We’ve chosen China to pilot uberCOMMUTE — the first time we’ve launched a new product outside the United States — because of the tremendous appetite amongst Chinese drivers and riders for creative new ways to get from A to B affordably and reliably.  Over time we hope to roll this type of commute product out to other cities around the world.  

Uber started out to solve a simple need: the need to get a ride.  We have since seen a way to help with one of the biggest challenges our cities face: congestion.  By making it easy and affordable for people to share rides, we can create affordable, efficient alternatives to individual car ownership.
