Uber in Kyiv: First Weekend Demand Broke All EMEA Records
Автор:Uber releases the results of its operations over the first weekend after the launch. Service became available to residents and guests of Kyiv on June 30, 2016. As a gift celebrating Kyiv launch the first weekend was free for all the riders.
The demand for rides over the “free weekend” exceeded all expectations and bet EMEA region records: the number of people who wanted to use the service in the city even exceeded the number of supporters gathering in Olympiisky Stadium at its full occupancy.

At the same time Uber managed the increased demand successfully: the ETA in the city over the period after the launch inclusive was only 4.7 minutes. In this respect Kyiv launch stands out in comparison to other cities. In Minsk, for example, the service took several months to bring the ETA to 5 minutes with 10 minutes average waiting time at launch.
Kyiv residents and city guests who took advantage of Uber free weekend, appreciated the high quality of service. Average rating of Uber partner drivers was estimated at 4.89, with the vast majority of riders rating their drivers 5.
