Frequently asked questions

  • Uber Flash is an option that allows you to request a delivery partner to transport your item(s) to a person waiting at a designated dropoff location.

    You can also request an item to be sent to you from a designated sender.

  • Tap the Entrega icon on the Uber app homescreen and follow the in-app instructions.

  • Items sent using Uber Flash have specific monetary value limits and weight limits per vehicle type. Prohibited items include but are not limited to alcohol, medication, recreational drugs, and dangerous or illegal items.²

    For delivery by vehicle, you can send items that:

    • Don't contain any prohibited items²
    • Fit comfortably in the trunk of a midsize vehicle
    • Are closed, securely sealed, and ready for curbside or door pickup
    • Are within the monetary value and weight limits for your location¹

    For delivery by bike or scooter, if available in your location, you can send items that:

    • Don't contain any prohibited items²
    • Fit comfortably in a backpack
    • Are closed, securely sealed, and ready for curbside or door pickup
    • Are within the monetary value and weight limits for your location¹

    If your item contains a prohibited item or doesn't follow the restrictions above, the delivery partner may cancel your request.

  • Uber Flash is designed for local delivery, typically within a single geographical area (excludes international border crossings).

  • The item recipient should be available to meet the delivery partner at the door or curb. If you need to ask the delivery partner to leave the item at the recipient's door, you’ll be able to add delivery notes with further instructions to smooth the delivery process.

  • Uber does not maintain insurance coverage for item loss, theft, or damage caused by a third party. Please see the Terms and Conditions for full details. Violation of the Terms and Conditions may result in deactivation of your account without notice.

  • We recommend that you notify the recipient of the delivery so they can meet the delivery partner to retrieve the item from the vehicle. If you do send someone an item as a surprise, you’ll need to clearly instruct the delivery partner, in the message section of the Uber app, to leave the item at the recipient’s door. The delivery partner can always decline this request.

    • If your item hasn't been delivered yet, you can call or message the delivery partner in the app.
    • Delivery partners are free to cancel your request for any reason, including, for example, if your item was too heavy, too large for their vehicle, not packaged securely, or contained a prohibited item.
    • If the person receiving the item wasn't available, the delivery partner may try to contact you in the app to resolve the issue or coordinate a return. You'll be responsible for costs associated with returning the item to you if necessary.
    • For help coordinating a delivery in case of terminated trips or canceled requests, if you haven’t yet received your item, or if the item was damaged during delivery, contact Uber Support.
