Your vehicle must-haves
- Valid E1 driver's license
- Police record
If you are going to use your own car, you must also provide:
- Third party insurance
- Vehicle registration
If the car you are going to drive is not yours, you must also provide:
- Notarized authorization of the owner of the vehicle
Security Certification
Once you upload your documents, a third-party company performs a security study which costs $10 (paid in one fee).

Seat extra passengers—and get higher fares—with your high-capacity vehicle. They must seat at least 6 riders in addition to the driver.
Additional requirements:
- 4-door SUV or minivan
- Capacity for at least 6 passengers, in addition to the driver
- Three rows of seats
- Windows and air conditioning in working order
- Equipped with airbags in both front seats
UberBLACK
Offer luxury rides in the UberBLACK car service and earn higher rates. Additional requirements:
- Minimum model year varies by vehicle, typically not older than 3 years
- Capacity for at least 4 passengers, in addition to the driver
- Windows and air conditioning in working order
- Equipped with airbags in both front seats
- Seat belts available in all seating positions
