Gift cards: Load your gift cards with Uber credit for your employees or customers to spend on treats and trips as and when they choose.
Vouchers: Gift Uber credit to employees or customers and only pay for festive eats ordered or rides taken, so you can share the joy for less. You also control the parameters and can track how the credit is used.
- How does it work?
Gift cards: You can send recipients digital cards by text, email or print—you decide how to distribute. Physical gift cards are available through our sales team. Purchase cards here.
Vouchers: You distribute Uber credit to recipients and set controls, such as, expiry dates, location restrictions and/or day and time the credit can be used. Recipients can request rides or meals from their Uber or Uber Eats app and apply the voucher toward their purchase. You can sign up here.
- How do I pay?
Gift cards: You pay in full for the gift card amount at the time of purchase.
Vouchers: You pay only when a user redeems the voucher and applies it toward a ride or meal. For instance, if you distribute $100 in vouchers and only $50 is used, you pay $50.

- Can recipients use the gift cards on everything available through Uber?
Yes, gift cards, once applied to an account, become Uber Cash or Uber credit in the Wallet section of the app and can be used toward rides with Uber or meals with Uber Eats.
- Do gift cards cover taxes and fees?
Yes, Uber gift cards will cover taxes, fees or tips for any Uber transaction.
- Where are gift cards available?
Gift cards are available in Australia, Brazil, Canada, India, Mexico, South Africa, the United Kingdom and the United States. Supported currencies include AUD, BRL, CAD, INR, MXN, ZAF, GBP and USD.
- Are the gift cards physical or digital?
Gift cards are digital by default (not physical). Physical gift cards are only available in the US and must be purchased through our sales team.
- How do I issue the gift cards?
Recipients can receive digital cards by text, email or print—you decide how to distribute. We can do the heavy lifting and email each gift code to individual recipients, or you can choose to receive physical gift cards to distribute them yourself.
- How do I pay for the gift cards?
You can choose to pay by ACH/bank transfer or by credit card in select markets. Your banking institution may apply a bank transfer fee, which you’re responsible for covering.
- What denominations are available?
There are minimum and maximum gift card amounts in each country. We can create digital gift codes in many whole amounts in any of the available currencies. Please discuss denomination requirements with our sales team.
