Lagos, Your uberX Is Arriving Now!

You’ve requested for it and now it’s being delivered. At almost 5 months since soft launching in Lagos, today we are excited to introduce a new service option. .. uberX is now in Lagos!

WHAT is uberX?

• uberX is a low-cost option that uses the same Uber app to connect you with the most reliable, convenient and affordable ride in Lagos.
• A ride that is so fast, so reliable, and so affordable that the need for car ownership in Eko will soon become a thing of the past.
• uberX, like UberBlack, allows riders to locate our partner drivers- licensed existing transportation providers/companies, authorized by the local transport authority.

HOW DO I REQUEST uberX?

1. uberX cars are on the road starting TODAY, 16 December!
2. Open up your Uber app and you’ll now see two vehicle options to choose from: uberX and UberBlack
3. Toggle over to the left to give uberX a try.
4. Set your pickup location and tap the “Request uberX” button.
5. Send us some feedback via the in-app rating screen after your trip!

WHAT TO EXPECT?

To keep the quality and service you expect from UberBlack, we have increased prices by 35%, however uberX offers the most affordable pricing with the same great ride experience!

Nollywood, Nigeria’s film industry, ranks as the third highest grossing film industry in the world, trailing Hollywood and Bollywood respectively. We were especially gingered to have a few Nollywood stars- actor/film maker Kunle Afolayan, actor Seun Soyinka and actress Omoni Oboli as our uberX Rider Zeros, the first to take an uberX ride, this morning.
