Starting January 1, 2017, Hartsfield-Jackson joins more than 70 airports across the United States that have implemented agreements with Uber. Now your ride to or from the airport is more convenient than before.

“This New Year’s Day, it gets even more convenient for Atlantans to count on Uber for a safe ride home from the world’s busiest airport. Whether you are a business traveler scheduling a ride to an early morning flight or a family looking for an affordable ride home from a vacation, we’ve got you covered with the tap of a button. Our team has worked closely with Hartsfield-Jackson on implementing the details of the agreement to ensure a smooth experience for both riders and driver-partners, and we thank the city and airport leadership for all of their efforts.”

In conjunction with the announcement, there have been some key changes to help make your experience at the airport as breezy as possible.

  • You will now meet your ride on the lower levels of the North and South Domestic Terminals, or the outer curb of the lower level at the International Terminal. You will enter your specific door number in the app, ensuring a quick and convenient curbside pick-up.
  • You will be charged an additional $3.85 for each uberX pick-up at the airport, with the funds going directly to Hartsfield-Jackson. The fee will not apply to airport drop-offs.
  • Driver-partners will await pick-up requests in a new rideshare assembly area. It is around a five minute drive from the rideshare assembly area to the terminals.
  • In addition to Uber trade dress, drivers will display a hang-tag decal specifically for airport pick-ups.

Early morning flight? Schedule your trip to the airport up to 30 days in advance and your ride will be ready when you are.

GETTING HOME

All rideshare pickups now happen on the lower level. Once you gather your luggage, follow the signs to navigate to the designated area before you request.

CONFIRM YOUR RIDE

Keep an eye on your app to see the real time location of your ride. Once your ride arrives, confirm your car and driver before hopping in.
