This World AIDS Day, we’re partnering with (RED) and Lifelong in the fight against AIDS. Lifelong is committed to improving access to food, housing, and healthcare for those affected by AIDS in the Seattle community. Our global partner, (RED), has set its sights on eliminating mother-to-child transmission of HIV globally by 2020.

Today, riders in Seattle can support both of our partners by selecting the (RED) option in the Uber app to donate $5 to the cause. In addition, the  Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation has generously pledged to match all donations made by our riders.

Your uberX ride will be the same as usual on December 1st, but cars will be turned red in the app and Uber will text you at the end of your trip. Reply YES to donate $5, which will be shared by the Global Fund* and Lifelong. Thank you for joining us in the fight for an AIDS-free world.

*The Global Fund, the recipient of (RED) funds, is a 21st-century organization designed to accelerate the end of AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria as epidemics.
$0.25 of each $5 donation will be used to cover processing fees.
