#WhyIDrive
Written byMeet Vicki:
A wife, mother of 3, business owner, and outstanding Uber driver-partner. After using Uber multiple times as a rider, Vicki decided to switch to the driver’s seat and partner with Uber.
Vicki has been driving with Uber to earn extra income to help cover her sons’ college expenses since February 2015. When she’s not behind the wheel, she’s managing Poster Solutions–a local graphic design and printing company Vicki and her husband launched 27 years ago from her home. Today, Uber has become a way to decompress after a day spent managing her business.
When asked about how Uber fits into her life, Vicki shared, “Driving with Uber is a great way to relieve stress after a long day in the office. It’s soothing!”
After driving 20+ hours a week for most of the year, Vicki has many memorable rides. However, Vicki empathized with one rider in particular: a young mother of three who uses Uber from time to time to surprise her children at daycare. The rider generally has a two hour commute home via the city bus, but is able to shorten that time to thirty minutes when riding with Uber in order to spend more time with her children.
It’s safe to say that this female entrepreneur, mother, and wife is truly one-of-a-kind. Remember to say hello if you join on her on her next Uber journey around town!
