Just over a year ago, Uber launched the UberMILITARY program, and since then, nearly 40,000 veterans and members of the military community have joined the Uber platform. In fact, hundreds of these individuals are driving on the streets of Dallas today, continuing to serve others as UberMILITARY partners. In honor of Veterans Day, the Dallas team would like to introduce you to a few of these patriotic partners.

During his 20-year Army career, Tommy spent time in Iraq, Bosnia, Quintana Bay, Cuba, and Germany, ultimately retiring as a Staff Sergeant. He is now an entrepreneur living in Little Elm, Texas.

Tommy initially signed up to drive with Uber to make extra money, but now claims to be hooked on meeting new people and the opportunity to serve others every day, much like he did during his time in the Army. His positive attitude is contagious and he always puts his passengers first to make sure they’re comfortable and safe.

Previous riders have said, “Tommy has a great attitude and a clear commitment to customer service!”

Anthony enlisted into the Army in 2008. Soon after enlisting, he spent over two years on tours in both Afghanistan and Iraq. One tour with the 82nd Airborne Division, based out of Fort Bragg, NC and two tours with the 1st Cavalry Division, based out of Fort Hood, TX. He spent six years in active duty. Today Anthony is still serving in the Army Reserves in Grand Prairie.

As a current student and entrepreneur, Anthony drives to help combat drunk driving in his community. While his passion is geared towards keeping the streets safe, he also very much enjoys meeting new riders across DFW. During his time in the Army, Anthony learned first-hand how to serve others, and he is now using those skills daily as an UberMILITARY driver-partner. He believes that while driving with Uber, “attitude can determine how much fun you have”.  He plans to continue the fun while serving his community with Uber for the foreseeable future.

Previous riders have said, “…quality driver! Thanks for serving our country”

We thank Tommy, Anthony, and all military personnel alike for their service.
