WARMING UP
Interest in partnering with Uber grew as residents of Lexington learned about Uber as a way to earn income on a flexible schedule and realized there was no better time to get started than the Cup.
The number of people who signed up to drive with Uber during the two months leading up to Breeders’ Cup was more than double the number that signed up during the previous month.

STARTING GATE
Downloads of the Uber application more than doubled during the week of the Breeders’ Cup as residents of and visitors to Lexington turned to their smartphones for reliable and convenient rides.
BACKSTRETCH
Enough Uber driver-partners were active and ready to take trips in Lexington before the final race concluded to circle the track two times, ready to move thousands of riders on demand.
HOMESTRETCH
Uber data clearly shows the moments after the big race, the number of people opening the Uber app quadrupled and riders raced to get to their next destinations.
FINISH LINE
Even with the massive increase in rider demand the Breeders’ Cup spurred (along with Halloween and a home football game in Lexington), the median ETA in the city remained 4.1 minutes – only twice as long as the record set in the Classic Race on Saturday!
All in all, Uber riders traveled an incredible equivalent of more than 14,000 times around Keeneland’s horse track during the Breeders’ Cup. That’s what we call a Grand Slam!
