On Monday, June 6th we invited our top driver-partners and community leaders to showcase how flexible work on-demand opportunities are impacting communities in Oregon and across the country.

This event was a part of our UberENTREPRENEUR initiative, which celebrates and connects entrepreneurs and small business owners who drive with Uber. With more than 5,000 driver-partners in the greater Portland area, we’re thrilled to provide a flexible earning opportunity for people working towards their professional and personal goals.

Portland is home to an extensive small business community, and with partners like WeWork and the Portland State University Business Outreach Program, we can provide additional resources for our driver-partners who also own small businesses.

“WeWork is very committed to Portland. We’re excited to offer this invitation to Uber drivers with small businesses to come in and be a part of our community.” – Gina Phillips, WeWork GM

In addition to our local partners, we will be offering a $10,000 grant to one of our UberENTREPRENEURS to help support their business goals.

“Anytime that we can provide support to small businesses that’s an exciting thing for the entire state. I want to thank Uber for the work that they’re doing in supporting the small business owners who are also drivers.” – Jennifer Williamson, Oregon State Representative

We’d like to extend a thank you to all of our amazing driver-partners who own small businesses that make Portland a unique and wonderful place to live. Click here to learn more about our UberENTREPRENEUR initiative.
