Uber and VIA partner for busiest days of Fiesta

Two years ago, Uber launched in San Antonio for Fiesta with the goal of providing a ride when people need it most. Since then, more than a hundred thousand people have opened the app to request a ride to work, dinner, or major events like Fiesta.
This year we partnered with VIA to make enjoying Fiesta more affordable than ever. We will provide service to three of VIA’s Special Event Park & Ride locations throughout the city, April 21 – 23. Through this partnership with VIA, we hope to make it easier, safer and more affordable for people to travel to and from Fiesta. The following VIA Park & Ride locations include:
- Blossom Stadium (12002 Jones Maltsberger Road)
- Crossroads Park & Ride (151 Crossroads Blvd.)
- Frank Madla Transit Center (1584 Cantrell Drive)
PRO TIP: look for the Uber pick up signs located adjacent to VIA bus service. The pick up will not be where the buses are physically parked or staged. Be sure to stop, look and listen when walking toward the designated Uber pick up location. Riders arriving for their outbound Fiesta trip may receive a free VIA Fiesta medal, while supplies last.
Our goal is to reduce the hassle of parking and congestion and eliminate the dangers of drinking and driving. So we urge everyone to ditch your keys this Fiesta season. Together, we can make the streets a safer place for everyone.
