Tips & Tricks for a Treat-Filled Halloween
Written byWhile some might hop on a broomstick, we expect that thousands of boys & ghouls in Nashville will use Uber for a safe ride this Halloween. To help ensure this weekend is a seamless experience for you, treat yourself to these tips:
- No need to cut the Monster Mash short to find a ride: You don’t need to stand on the street to hail a ride or walk around strange neighborhoods to find the nearest bus stop. Uber rides are cashless and facilitated through the app.
- While you may be in costume, your ride won’t be in disguise: Once your ride arrives, make sure you’re getting in the right car with the the right person. Cross check the license plate and car make/model with the description in your app. Verify that your driver matches the photo and ask your driver to confirm his or her name displayed in the app.
- Should you need to contact your driver, we mask your phone number: If you can’t find your driver or want to share more pick up information, call or text your driver through the app using an anonymized phone number so you don’t have to share any personal information.
- Despite it being a spooky night, loved ones don’t have to worry: You can easily share ride details, including the specific route and estimated time of arrival, with friends or family so they can see your current location and arrival time.
- Keep the hocus pocus outside the ride: Please be considerate to your driver and follow our Code of Conduct to ensure that everyone in the vehicle shares our standards for respect, accountability and common courtesy.
- You don’t have to share your candy, but please share feedback on your ride: Our safety team reviews this information and takes it very seriously and will investigate any issues. If something happens while in the car, whether it’s a traffic accident or an altercation, our customer support staff are ready to respond 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
- Leave your fairy wings or cape behind? No problem: Pull up your emailed receipt, visit riders.uber.com/lost, or view your trip right in the app to retrieve a phone number to contact your driver and arrange the return of your item.
- Your carriage won’t turn into a pumpkin at midnight: If surge pricing is in effect, you always have the choice to wait until fares return to normal before requesting a ride, or use the fare estimator to get your cost, it’ll account for surge!
Stay safe and have a smashing Halloween!
