Jamestown, RI

Jamestown is just a hop, skip and a jump from bustling Newport, however, this island still manages to maintain a quiet and charming feel. There is plenty of seafood to be found here, stop in at Fish for a sampling of Jamestown’s best and follow up the meal with a visit to a few of Jamestown’s shops, we’d recommend the handblown glass at Clancy Designs.
Matunuck, RI

Matunuck is one of the villages that make up South Kingston, RI. This seaside town is worth a visit for the oysters alone. Matunuck Oyster Bar features oysters that the establishment itself sustainably farms in addition to a completely farm to table menu. End your day here with a night of culture at South Kingston’s, Theatre by the Sea.
Little Compton, RI

Little Compton lies on the easternmost coast of Rhode Island between the Sakonnet River and the Atlantic. This coastal town has plenty to offer visitors in all seasons. Taste some of the local wine at Sakonnet Vineyards, then head down to the town common for a meal at one of the town’s many restaurants and finish the trip off with a visit to the Little Compton Historical Society to learn a bit about the history of the area.
