Ride for $5 Across Summit this Holiday Season

We’ve teamed up with the City of Summit for a first-of-its-kind partnership, offering $5 fares for all trips that begin and end in Summit. By making transportation across Summit more affordable and accessible, we’re hoping to support local businesses, give residents a simple, reliable way to get a safe ride home, and ease downtown parking congestion throughout the holiday season.
$5 fares across Summit now through January 2, 2016
“Our partnership with Uber means that people can enjoy the city’s vibrant center easier than ever before, while simultaneously reducing the number of cars that need downtown parking,” Summit Mayor Ellen Dickson said.
HOW IT WORKS
- OPEN the app in Summit between Wednesday, December 16 and Saturday, January 2
- SELECT the ‘SUMMIT’ option in your app
- REQUEST a ride
- PAY a flat $5 when your trip begins and ends in Summit
THE DETAILS
- All rides must begin and end in Summit to be eligible for the $5 fare
- Riders will be responsible for ride cancellation fees
This holiday season, worry less about circling the streets for a parking spot or getting a safe ride home, and focus more on spending quality time with family and friends.
