Ride to Support Portland Communities
Written byWe’re grateful for the opportunity to be a part of Portland’s growing communities by providing flexible earning opportunities to residents with Uber.
Since 2015, we’ve provided over 5,000 job opportunities to Portlanders with drivers hailing from each of Portland’s 92 vibrant neighborhoods.
To build upon these efforts, we are thrilled to announce a partnership with the The Black Parent Initiative to work together to make the new flexible income opportunities being an Uber driver-partner easily accessible to Portland’s African American community.
HOW TO GET INVOLVED
- Take a trip Between July 18 & July 22 and Uber will donate $1 for every trip to The Black Parent Initiative
- Join us at Cultivating Culture on Sat, July 23 at 2915 NE Martin Luther King Blvd.
In addition to food and drinks, event attendees will be able to find out the benefits of becoming an Uber driver-partner, and will be able to start the onboarding process on the spot.
This partnership is part of Uber’s commitment to equity and empowering historically underserved communities in Oregon. Join in to support your Portland neighbors, friends, family and co-workers.
Thanks for the support!
