Sun’s out, birds are chirping and there’s a breeze in the air that’s calling your name. Don’t stay in—head out for a fabulous picnic wherever you are. We’ll help make it easy with our quick tips for your first picnic of the season.

1. Assemble your squad

Your picnic goal is to relax and enjoy good food (ok, that’s two goals), but first, you need your people. Reach out with the date and time. Most everyone would agree that the best way to spend a Saturday or Sunday afternoon is to go on a picnic. But if you can wrangle a work lunch or team meeting in the park, more picnic power to you.

2. Pack the essentials

Go classic with a wicker basket and the red and white checkered table cloth, or break out a boho-chic blanket to chill on. Entertainment options are a must. Consider: Frisbee, chess, your trusty banjo, pets—plus iced tea, lemonade (or both!), sunglasses and sunscreen. Well done! You’ve already upped your picnic game.

3. Pick your spot

Your favorite park, trail, beach, and heck, even a friend’s backyard all have one thing in common: they could be the perfect place to picnic. Once you decide where to spread out your spread, make it even easier on you and your friends by taking an Uber to your destination.

4. Order up

Before you head for the hills, open up your laptop or tap the app and order your feast. Anything goes—pick poke bowls, sushiritos, pizza, sammys, salads, etc. Make a note in the “delivery instructions” section of the app and we’ll bring any or all of it right to your blanket.

Sound good? It will taste even better. In case you didn’t know, April 23 is #NationalPicnicDay, so mark your calendar and try out this checklist. UberEATS is available in 50+ cities–so we’re likely to be in yours. Open your UberEATS app now or visit our website and get your picnic party started.
