Favorite coffee place

Slate Coffee
It’s the only place where the baristas puts their heart and soul into each cup. They are true professionals. Their coffee is always amazing, plus they run their shop like a restaurant, so you can grab a seat and they come to you, and then you can pay when you’re done.

Favorite breakfast spot

Skillet
It’s the diner, remade. You can tell a chef is in the kitchen, not just some dude who can flip an egg. They have interesting food, good prices, a great happy hour and fun environment.

Favorite fancy restaurant

Spur
Their tasting menu was the highlight of my year. The rest of their menu is just as good, and I recommend going for a cocktail and appetizers. The bartenders are also some of the best in town.

Top neighborhoods to spend the day

Queen Anne and West Seattle
I love Queen Anne and West Seattle. I visit Queen Anne because it’s quiet and cozy with a long strip of restaurants, cafes, and shops. West Seattle is where you go for beaches and views. Whether you’re looking towards the city or out into the bay, you’ll be happy with what you see

Favorite place to get out of the city

Go explore the parks. Seattle is such a beautiful city, so I would go to the parks and take a walk. Golden Gardens, Green Lake, Discovery Park or get down to the water and explore Alki Beach.
