Together Omaha provides resources to working families in extreme poverty and in 2014 they distributed over 32,000 pounds of food to their clients. Now, Uber Nebraska in partnership with The Market House is making it easier than ever to help end hunger — and all you need to do is open your Uber app!

Tuesday, November 17, request FOOD DRIVE in the Uber app and we’ll take care of the rest.

HOW IT WORKS:

  1. Gather canned food and non-perishable food items you’re willing to donate
  2. Open your Uber app between 11:00am-3:00pm on Tuesday, November 17
  3. Request FOOD DRIVE at the bottom of the screen
  4. Once you’re connected, a driver will arrive to pick up your items and will drop-off your donation to Together Omaha
  5. The most generous donor will receive a $100 gift card from The Market House!

THE DETAILS:

  • Participating in the food drive is FREE!
  • All food items must be in a bag or box for drivers to accept the donation
  • Drivers will arrive at your requested pickup location. Please keep in mind drivers can’t leave vehicles unattended—we ask that you bring your donation out to meet your driver when they arrive
  • The food drive will be in high demand so please be patient if you do not connect with a driver upon your first request!
  • Residents and businesses are welcome to participate
