2017 is going to be bigger and better – and Los Angeles agrees. Here’s what’s coming to LA in the New Year:

If you’re feeling fancy…

Nobu Ryokan

Nobu has been a name synonymous with celebrity sightings for nearly two decades now, and it looks like its PCH real estate is about to expand with the opening of Nobu Ryokan set for spring of 2017.

Waldorf-Astoria

90210 is about to gain another 12 [stories]. The much-anticipated Waldorf-Astoria has set its opening date for April and will include a restaurant by star chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten and a spa by La Prairie.

If this week was tough…

Bar Angeles

A full cocktail menu is served up with a side of musical legend at Bar Angeles. The Sunset Boulevard space is graced by the legendary mural from Elliott Smith’s Figure 8 album and opens this month.

Modern Times

Beer + vegan cuisine + coffee… sounds like Los Angeles has found itself in the Modern Times Brewery which opens its doors this February.

Mikkeller Bar

Craft beer worshippers rejoice! The Copenhagen-original with a globally-renowned reputation is ready to pour this month.

If your New Year’s resolution hasn’t quite stuck…

Sweet Chick

Chicken + waffles = brunch of champions. The Brooklyn spot changes coasts for a Feb/March opening in Fairfax.

Felix

RIP our beloved Bucato, but 2017 has our carb interests at heart with the winter opening of Felix, aka pasta extraordinaire Evan Funke’s return to the LA restaurant scene.

If you can’t get a reservation…

Petit Trois

Additional square space in Sherman Oaks means you might actually be able to taste the French bistro from the trio that also brought us Trois Mec. [Disclaimer: No guarantees]. Petit Trois opens its second location this winter.

If sky’s the limit…

Dream Hollywood

Rooftop bars more your scene? Look no further than the Dream Hollywood Hotel scheduled to open February 1st. We’ll bet 11,000 square feet complete with a pool and retractable roof right in bustling Hollywood is sure to make a proper LA entrance.

Wilshire Grand Center

DTLA is about to add another stunner to its resume. The Wilshire Grand Center – i.e. the tallest structure on the LA skyline, i.e. the tallest structure west of the Mississippi River – makes its debut in March. We’ll see you on the 70th floor sky lobby.
