Meet Jordan, a Missoula driver-partner
Written byIn 1989, Jordan’s family decided to take it upon themselves to save a historic building that was slated for demolition. The 3-story home, built in 1911, used to be the University of Montana president’s house. When the Goldsmiths heard the news that the building was to be torn down for a new parking lot, they moved the house from campus to the banks of the Clark Fork river and turned it into the Goldsmith’s Bed and Breakfast, which has been open for over 20 years.
Jordan, who has been working there on and off his whole life, recently moved back to Montana to take over as the primary caretaker of the property. “My favorite thing about my job is meeting new people every day. And, because it’s a family business, I know the work I do gives back to my family in a very immediate way.” Jordan said.
Having lived on the East Coast for a few years, Jordan is glad to be back in Montana where he has more opportunity to get outdoors and find solitude. He’s looking forward to driving with Uber, as he sees a need in the community with the lack of transportation options, especially at night. “If you’re downtown and it’s after 2am, it’s nearly impossible to get a ride. There’s definitely a demand in Missoula for Uber, and I’m looking forward to helping get people where they need to go.”
From small business owners, to students, to retirees, the driver-partners in Montana are here to get you where you need to go.
