The holiday season is well underway, and with it comes family, friends, and festivities. But it can also be a dangerous time of the year, with people toasting and celebrating, and then getting behind the wheel.

In fact, according to the Louisiana Highway Safety Commission, in Louisiana, during the 2014 Christmas and New Year’s holiday periods, there were 671 fatal and injury crashes – 99 involving alcohol. In all there were 21 people killed and 1,038 injured on Louisiana roadways. Alcohol use was a factor in more than half of the fatalities.

That’s why we’re teaming up with Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) to encourage people in New Orleans to use a safe, reliable alternative to getting behind the wheel. And we find our driver-partners share the same commitment of helping to keep drunk driver off the road.
