The First Annual Indie Street Film Festival Arrives in Red Bank

This eclectic festival features local and international filmmakers and creative panels located across several of Red Bank’s theatres and establishments. Morris From America

Date: Wednesday, July 6

Venue: Count Basie Theatre
A coming-of-age comedy, Morris From America centers on Morris Gentry, a 13-year-old who has just relocated to Germany. Morris, who sees himself as a rising hop-hop star, is a fish-out-of-water in his new home, an electronic dance music (EDM) world. To complicate matters further, Morris develops feelings for his rebellious, 15-year-old classmate Katrin.

Carmen, a young actress, is trapped between her feelings for Pablo and her marriage with Joaquín, Pablo’s best friend. When she learns she’s fallen ill, she decides to plan a journey with one of them—the journey will change all of their lives. You’ll have to watch to see who she chooses.
