Happy 3 Year Anniversary Uber Arizona
Written byNovember marks Uber’s third year of operations in Arizona.
Over the past three years we’ve shared moments, monsoons, culinary festivals, the big game in Glendale and so much more. We’ve been proud to play a role in strengthening Arizona’s economy while making it easier, safer and more affordable for people to get wherever they want to go.
On this anniversary, let’s take a look at where we’ve been and—more importantly—where we’re headed together.
Over 700,000 riders and 18,000 driver-partners have shared 5 million trips in Arizona.
Images show density of completed trips in the month of November for each year listed. Points have been jittered for privacy. Actual routes have been replaced by routes generated using an automated routing system.
As Uber has grown in Arizona, so has our availability and reliability across the region. People in Phoenix aren’t just using Uber to get a ride on nights and weekends. They use Uber to commute to school and work, and to connect them to the existing public transit infrastructure, making the city that much more accessible to residents, commuters and tourists.
Over the last 3 years, Arizona riders and partners have logged nearly 40 million miles together—that’s about 2.2 million trips across the Grand Canyon.
Along the way, partners have earned hundreds of millions of dollars – over $77m in the last three years – while setting their own schedules, on their own terms.
We’re constantly innovating to ensure that residents and visitors alike have access to reliable transportation, economic opportunities, and innovative technology solutions. It has been an incredible ride so far, and we look forward to continuing on this journey with all of you.
Uber On!
