Our driver-partners are as diverse as H-Town itself. As we celebrate Hispanic Heritage month, we’d like to introduce you to Jacqueline, an Uber rider turned driver-partner. After her car broke down, Jacqueline had no way to get around and began taking Uber to visit car dealerships. The Uber partners she met really seemed to enjoy the flexibility of the platform, and their experiences inspired her to sign up to drive once she purchased a car.

One of Jacqueline’s favorite parts about being a driver-partner is the freedom to set her own schedule. She appreciates the ability to turn the app on and off whenever she wants, which allows her to be home with her 14-year-old twin sons more often. The earnings potential for Uber partners is another reason Jacqueline loves driving; the weekly payment schedule and ability to work anytime enable her to manage her finances more efficiently. Since becoming a driver-partner four months ago, Jacqueline has been able to buy a new car through financing options for Uber partners and take her family on a vacation to Disney World.

“After 10 weeks of driving, I was able to afford a two-and-a-half week vacation to Disney World with my mom and sons! I wouldn’t have been able to pay for this trip or take two weeks off that soon with any other company.”

Thanks for all you do to help riders get around the city safely, Jacqueline!
