Driving Hunger Out of New Jersey
Written byThe countdown to the holiday season has begun! This year, we’re teaming up with the Community FoodBank of New Jersey (CFBNJ) to collect canned and non-perishable goods for those in need across the Garden State.
We know it can be difficult finding time to donate to your local food bank, so we’re bringing the food bank to your doorstep! This Saturday, November 7, if you’re in Hudson, Bergen or Essex County, you can request a free, on-demand donation pickup.
The CFBNJ distributes 43 million pounds of food a year to more than 1,000 non-profit programs.
HOW IT WORKS
- OPEN the Uber app between 10am-2pm on Saturday, November 7 in Hudson, Bergen or Essex County.
- SELECT the ‘FOOD DRIVE’ option in your app.
- REQUEST a free pickup for your canned and non-perishable goods.
- When your Uber arrives, BRING your goods to the driver.
THE DETAILS
- Not sure what to donate? Click here for a list of most wanted food items, such as canned tuna, pasta, and cereal.
- Don’t have extra food in your pantry? You can donate directly to the CFBNJ here.
- No donation is too small!
We’re excited to see the impact we can have when the Uber New Jersey community works together to make a difference. So join us this Saturday with just a tap of a button.
