Kansas Food Bank provides hunger relief to families in need throughout the state. They currently serve over 215,000 people on a yearly basis with their network of food pantries, soup kitchens and shelters that reach individuals and families in need.

This holiday season, we’ve teamed up with Kansas Food Bank to make it easier than ever to help end hunger— and all you need to do is open your Uber app!

On Thursday, December 17, request FOOD DRIVE in the Uber app and we’ll take care of the rest.

HOW IT WORKS:

  1. Gather canned food and non-perishable food items you’re willing to donate
  2. Open your Uber app between 11:00am-3:00pm on Thursday, December 17
  3. Request FOOD DRIVE at the bottom of the screen
  4. Once you’re connected, a driver will arrive to pick up your items and will drop-off your donation to Kansas Food Bank
  5. All donors will receive $10 off their next ride

THE DETAILS:

  • Participating in the food drive is FREE!
  • All food items must be in a bag or box for drivers to accept the donation
  • Drivers will arrive at your requested pickup location. Please keep in mind drivers can’t leave vehicles unattended—we ask that you bring your donation out to meet your driver when they arrive
  • The food drive will be in high demand so please be patient if you do not connect with a driver upon your first request!
  • Residents and businesses are welcome to participate
