If you’re like us, coffee is a daily must. From big conglomerate chains to small, local businesses, the options are endless all over Ohio. We took it upon ourselves to find the best, unique coffee shops across the three C’s, and wanted to share our favorite spots that are special to our cities. The weather is getting chillier so riders, grab some joe and cozy up. Drivers, take a break from being on the road and stop into one of these fine establishments. Distinguished cafés offer a welcome breather from traffic, and can be had anywhere; you just need to know where to look.

Columbus

If your style is quaint and rustic, Fox in the Snow is for you. Located in the heart of Italian Village, you’ll find some of the best hand-poured coffee drinks in the city—not to mention their marvelous assortment of baked goods to go with them.

What once was an old garage space, Mission is the perfect spot to curl up on a couch with your coffee, or wire in and get work done. Off the beaten path in the Short North, Mission brings an urban feel to their numerous different styles of java.

This non-profit coffee house is the hidden gem of downtown. With quality brews sourced from local roasters and as well as out-of-state, every cup from The Roosevelt Coffeehouse supports the efforts of those working to fight the local and global injustices of unclean water, hunger, and more. Drink some coffee; it’ll do some good.

Cincinnati

The founders of Collective Espresso traveled far and wide to find the best ingredients, to bring you this divine coffee house. They had one goal in mind: “To do coffee in its purest form; made to order, no syrups, and no pretense. Made not just with love, but with commitment and respect. Done right. Every time.” Now that’s coffee worth drinking.

Charming and minimalistic, Cheapside Cafe will have you coming back to hang with the trendiest people in town. They offer various options for joe such as cappuccinos and cortados, and bonus—a full menu of crafted food.

As the oldest coffee house operating in Cincinnati, Coffee Emporium is known for having the best coffee in the city and the best atmosphere to enjoy it in. Their artisan roaster uses the finest quality beans, and his careful attention creates a unique flavor that can only come from here.

Cleveland

This pour over and espresso bar is conveniently located in the heart of downtown Cleveland. Sourcing coffee from all over the world, Pour Cleveland has a clear mission—”serve really good coffee and make people happy.” Did we mention you can also order their coffee on UberEATS?

After roasting coffee in Cleveland for over 25 years, we’d call them experts. With four different locations around the city, there is always a Phoenix Coffee nearby. Sourcing some of the best beans from around the globe, this is one coffee spot you’ll want to frequent.

Prefer a side of art with your morning joe? Erie Island is your new go-to. The baristas will foam up some latte art with every cup. You’ll be sure to get some likes on your #coffee Instagram post, and as for the coffee itself… You won’t be sorry.

Cheers!
