In honor of Small Business Saturday®, we’re highlighting one of Uber Colorado’s partner-drivers who is a small business owner!

Dean Dormady, owner of Colorado outerwear company Tamagear and Uber partner-driver, started the company because he wanted to use his background in consumer products to create something he was truly passionate about.

Tamagear’s mission is to create, design, and develop the highest quality products for the active lifestyle, and inspire sustainable actions to benefit endangered species and habitats around the world.

Dean uses Uber to help fuel his company’s growth. When Dean is on a trip, he is decked out in Tamagear, so if anyone asks about his jacket, he can be ready to tell them all about his company: “It’s amazing how many people tell me how much they like the product line. It’s been a great way to get people to ‘browse’ in a unique setting. They can see the quality and design up close for themselves and they take notice”.

Not only does Uber allow Dean to showcase his products, but it also gives him the opportunity to fuel the growth of the company through an extra source of income:

“Uber allows me to gain valuable insights into customer behaviors, as well as make additional cash to buy miscellaneous marketing materials and pay for all of the extras that my business requires”.
