“Spend your time wisely.” These are words Ramon, an UberEATS couriers, lives by and hopes to pass on by sharing his story. A student, nurse, foodie and UberEATS LA courier originally from Manila, Ramon knows a thing or two about juggling priorities and making the most out of your time.

With so much under his belt, it’s hard to believe it was only ten years ago that Ramon first left the Philippines to seek a better life in the United States. Upon arriving, he landed a job as a cashier. He would later go on to pursue his dreams with a career in the medical field, working as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Even more impressive, Ramon is currently undertaking studies for his Licensed Vocational Nursing Degree, with hopes to provide care to patients in a hospital environment in the future.

So, how did Ramon get involved with UberEATS? With his husband an UberX partner, Ramon was eager to learn more about the Uber experience. However, due to having a two-door vehicle, he was recommended by an Uber Expert to give UberEATS a shot instead. Fast forward 500 deliveries, and Ramon is hooked.

For Ramon, driving with UberEATS is a huge help – between studying and working, life can get pretty hectic! It’s his love for food and meeting new people, as well as the new restaurants he discovers along the way, that makes his job interesting and exciting. Ramon’s connection with the restaurant community is easy to see, as he still carries the a business card from one of his most enjoyable pickups.

Ramon hopes his story will be a catalyst for others, with UberEATS allowing him to work with a flexible schedule, while still pursuing his dreams and goals.
