The perspective from 57 stories above Philly’s iconic skyline will make the perfect backdrop for your family photos, and the scenery may inspire the rest of your adventures that day.

2. Live Music at Longwood Gardens
Instead of bringing flowers to your mom this year, bring your mom to the flowers. Longwood Gardens will have extended hours on Mother’s Day weekend, with the gardens staying open until 8:00 pm. There will be live music throughout the day, as well as a wine and champagne bar at The Terrace. Tickets often sell out on Mother’s Day weekend, so plan your visit in advance.

3. Tea at Betsy Ross’ House
Treat Mom to an elegant tea with a side of history this Mother’s Day. Betsy Ross will make an appearance to teach tea etiquette and give tours of her historic home. Come hungry and enjoy the assortment of teas, sandwiches, and sweets from City Tavern, served in the beautiful courtyard. Seating is limited and reservation are required. Tickets are $20 per person.

4. Brunch at Morris Arboretum

7. Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure®
This family-friendly event helps raise money to fight against breast cancer. This is a wonderful way to honor the women in your life who may have battled against cancer. 8. Tour Mural Mile with Philadelphia Mural Arts
The city of Philadelphia has thousands of murals, many of them quite stunning, and some in the most unexpected places. Philadelphia Mural Arts has various walking tours, train tours, and trolley tours to see the murals all Mother’s Day weekend. Most tours are 1.5 to 2 hours long.
