$50 to spend in Hollywood
Written by$50 is all you need to have a great weekend in Hollywood. We scoured the best places for you to visit and this is what we came up with.
Barnsdall Art Park
Believe it or not, Hollywood is home to one of the artsy-est parks in Los Angeles. Barnsdall Art park hosts wine and cheese nights, movie nights, and your next Sunday afternoon. It’s the perfect place to retreat when you want to feel like you’re doing LA a little differently than everyone else. Bring a picnic or grab your own through UberEATS (we recommend Vinny’s Fried Chicken sandwich from Seoul Sausage), and don’t forget a blanket. Oh yeah, we once caught a Charmander here.
Cost: Free | uberPOOL to Hollywood from DTLA
Seoul Sausage: $11
Upright Citizens Brigade
Get your laugh on at UCB and see some of the best up-and-coming comedians who call Los Angeles home. They sell libations on-site if you need to loosen up a bit before the show. To see whether you’re in for a night of sketch or improv, double check their schedule and you’ll be able to see who’s blessing the stage. Buy your tickets online beforehand and be prepared to wait in line for at least 20 minutes before showtime to get a good seat.
Cost: Free-$8
Hollywood Bowl
Never pass up an opportunity to experience music at the Hollywood Bowl. The bowl gets its name from the actual layout of the space – a bowl was carved out into the hillside to produce the beautiful amphitheatre you experience today. If you’re actively browsing their website, you can find $1 tickets for some pretty awesome events. Feel free to pack a picnic, some wine, and a blanket – you’re allowed to bring in the goods.
Cost: $1 ticket special

The best Hollywood has to offer can be found at this trendy, very Hollywood, bar. Located in the back of Juniper Hotel, you won’t be able to know what’s hiding behind the doors until you walk in. The outdoor patio, delicious cocktails, and old Hollywood vibe actually attracts the hippest crowd in Los Angeles. Whether you go with just a few friends or an entire crew, make sure to get early because you won’t be able to get in past 11pm.
