Four years ago, Dallas became the birthplace of Uber Texas.

What began as a way to access black car service in downtown Dallas has transformed into a transportation network company with the mission of making transportation as reliable as running water for everyone, everywhere. Today, people from southern Dallas, Denton, Fort Worth, Rockwall, and everywhere in between can request a ride or make money  all at the tap of a button.

Expansion from September 2012 – September 2016

Whether it’s commuters looking for an affordable ride to work or night owls seeking a safe ride home from the bar, Dallasites turn to Uber at all hours of the day.

Hourly Trips

When visitors land at DFW International Airport or Dallas Love Field, they rely on Uber to show them around town. People from 72 countries have opened the app and requested a ride in Dallas.

Visitors from Around the World

We want to thank DFW riders for joining us on this exciting journey and our driver partners who work tirelessly to move people safely around town. We are also grateful for the community leaders who have partnered with us. Together, we have made major strides in tackling some of the Metroplex’s biggest issues, like parking, transportation deserts, and drinking and driving.

Below is a look back at some of our favorite milestones and events from the last 4 years. Here’s to the next 4 years and beyond…This is only the beginning!
