Earnings tops the list of things drivers tell us matters to them most. After all, the ability to make money on your own terms — when you want, where you want — is one of the main reasons why more than two million people across the globe choose to drive with Uber every week.

That’s why 180 Days of Change kicked off with improvements to earnings like tipping, and why we introduced other earnings-related features in Chapter 2, 3 and 4 like fees for returned lost items, trip type preferences that empower drivers to earn how they want, and POOL pick-up fares.

But we aren’t stopping. In this month of 180 Days of Change, we’re introducing new ways to earn that enhance drivers’ earning power and help them get the most of their time on the road.

Whether it’s extra earnings for long pickups or a fairer cancellation policy, every change we are making leverages technology to improve the experience for everyone: drivers who want to earn more for their effort, and riders who want reliable access to transportation, wherever they might be.

These changes are part of our commitment to make driving more flexible and less stressful, with earnings and support drivers can depend on. Four months in, we couldn’t be more excited to keep on working to build an experience drivers and riders look forward to every time they open the app.
