Getting started is easy
Step 1: Sign up
Request a Plus Card by tapping here (make sure you have the latest version of Uber’s Driver app downloaded). If receiving by mail, your Plus Card will arrive in 10-14 days. Or you can head to your local Greenlight Hub to pick up your Plus Card.
Step 2: Activate your Plus Card
Once you’ve received your card, activate it by going in the app to Account > Plus Card and following the step-by-step instructions.
Step 3: Complete an order
Accept requests for Shop & Pay orders as you please, and take more control over your earnings. You can easily pay with your Plus Card, or if you choose, you can use your own payment method and get reimbursed after.
Frequently asked questions
- How do I become a Shop & Pay shopper?
To become a Shop & Pay shopper, you first need to activate your Plus Card using the steps mentioned above. Once it’s activated, you’ll start receiving Shop & Pay orders in your Driver app.
- How does Shop & Pay work?
Once you accept a Shop & Pay order through the Driver app, the order details will show you a specified store to select and pack the items requested by your customer. Then, you’ll pay with your pre-authorized Plus Card and deliver the items to your customer. You can also use your own payment method at checkout and get reimbursed.
- How are shoppers paid?
Your earnings will show up in your Earnings Statement, similar to other jobs on the Driver app (such as driving and delivering). You can access your Earnings Statement by going to the Earnings section of your in-app menu.
- Can I choose to receive Shop & Pay order requests exclusively?
No, not at this time. You will receive Shop & Pay orders the same way you receive other delivery orders. To differentiate, the order will be labeled as “Shop & Pay” on your screen.
- What do I do if I lose my Plus Card?
If you lose your Plus Card, you can request a new one here.
